LA CANABINA ACCESS REGULATIONS

La Canabina is a private venue intended for conservation. In this property several activities and guided tours are performed by Por la ruta de los dioses. However, we allow public to enter privately in order to know and enjoy its surroundings, providing they fulfill the following basic regulations regarding nature care:
  • Book your visit at least two days before arrival – preferably one week in advance – filling the form which will be delivered when you call or write us to +56950018669
  • Those visitors who want to enter to the range, from 1800 above sea level inland will have to report their route in advance, analyze the “range access protocol” and ask for the form which will be required before access
  • Groups – either families or friends – must not exceed 7 people.
  • Lighting fire is strictly forbidden. Night fires are also prohibited. In case you want to cook use a camping stove; we suggest taking the greatest amount of prepared food from home. In case of barbeque, we recommend using a gas grill.
  • Taking pets is forbidden.
  • Hunting is forbidden. Entering with firearms is prohibited.
  • Motorcycles can not be entered to the property (they must be left at the “parking” area and enter walking).
  • Fishing is allowed just in fishing season (From November 15 to May´s first Sunday) and with up-to-date fishing license, respecting requirements stated when getting the license and not surpassing the daily quota allowed. Solitary fishermen will be allowed to access until maximum 6 times a season; fishermen coming in group only twice a season.
  • Cyclists must wear a helmet. We will mark the allowed circuit.
  • Throwing garbage is not allowed (everything must be taken back home, INCLUDING USED TOILET PAPERS, FOOD LEFTOVERS AND CIGARETTE FAG ENDS).
  • Most areas do not have restrooms, therefore if you need to defecate leave your stools well buried, as “cat hole” 60 meters away from the trail and water streams. In order to dig the hole, you will need a small shovel like those used in gardening (remember bringing at least one by group). You must take used toilet papers back home, do not burry them at the hole or hide them; take a plastic bag with you and leave them appropriately when returning. In case it is possible use tubes to transport your stools (we sell them here, you may ask).
  • At the moment we only have a camping area with toilets. Its rental is exclusively for groups. Ask about prices and conditions at +56950018669
  • Bringing GLASS containers and bottles is forbidden.
  • Bringing metal detectors is forbidden
  • You cannot make water pools in the river or altering water streams in any way.
  • Bathing at irrigation channel is not allowed.
  • In case you want to wash (dishes, hands or other) the use of dishes soap, soap or dishwashing liquid directly to the water streams is FORBIDDEN (even biodegradable soaps contaminate water and damage fishes and other kind of aquatic life). In such case use a washbowl with water and throw dirty water into the ground at least 20 meters far away from water sources.
  • Entering to any enclosed pastureland is forbidden.
  • Cutting flowers, grass, roots or any plant species is forbidden.
  • In case you want to film or take photographs with commercial purposes you must get a special permit from management office. Otherwise, it is forbidden.
  • Use of drones is forbidden unless you get a special permit from management office.
  • Be silent. Avoid making strong sounds which may alter animals or other visitors. In case you want to listen to music only headphones are allowed.
  • Respect and take care from wild animals and plants. Do not chase animals, don’t feed them or get close to them.
  • Leave everything as it was. Do not take rocks, archeological elements or other kind of elements you may find. Allow the rest of the visitors to enjoy them too. If every visitor takes with him what he/she finds, nothing will be left in few years.
  • Before you leave the place check it and make sure no traces from your visit are left.
  • You must show your identification card at the main gate as well as those from your companions, these will be included in visitors record.
  • We remind you access gate has been closed by presidential decree since 1948.
  • Once in front of the electronic gate dial +569 50018669 or +569 71862986 for them to open you. Official access is pedestrian and through the main trail, avoiding a greater impact from your visit. You will be able to park your vehicle inside the property in a safe place. In case you want to camp in places which are close to the area you will be able to take the vehicle there.
